Engaging your audience to keep coming back is generally left to emails and push notifcations. But what if they wanted to come back? What if they wanted to engage with you so they could earn points which could be put towards their shopping basket, or to enter a competition? That’s what our rewards and gamification engine does.
How we keep customers coming back to ‘earn & burn’ points
Points systems that don’t go anywhere are, well, pointless. Points can be utilised in two ways just like an airline scheme – there are points you can spend and points that unlock new levels of access, status or rights. We call them Burn Points and Experience Points.
Burn points can be earned from any number of actions such as logging in, commenting on a post, spending money, voting, adding a job, using a discount code, entering an event… you get the idea. Basically we work with you to build a points matrix that nudges behaviour of your audience to your desired outcomes. These could be social engagement, spending money, buying insurance or voting at the AGM. Points can also be converted to third-party reward schemes. We are currently in talks with leading points systems across travel to transfer points too.
Experience points are a different type of reward. These accumulate until thresholds are met and either new levels of rewards are triggered or new features unlocked. These could be moderator or curator rights for groups or forums or 15% off at a retailer rather than 10%. The choice is yours.
